Darkly Sweet
I had a wonderful spooky time cooking up these toffee apples today. I couldn’t resist doing something playful, just a touch of black colouring in the toffee makes them that little bit more ghoulish. Whether Halloween, All Hallows’ Eve, All Saints Day or Samhain today is about honouring and remembering the dead. It is also a time for reflecting on changes in life, coming to terms with the past and looking forward. I am delighted it has coincided with the launch of my new look website, definitely a sign of my future.
What better way to celebrate than with some crunchy, crackly, sticky apples. Oh and a few spiders too!
