This is a personal project that combines my two loves – still life and food photography. It has developed out of a growing concern for our relationship with food production and the fact that so many of us have become increasingly distanced from our food. Food production has focused so much on yield, monocultures and uniformity that it has just become another disposable item.
By placing familiar food in combination with unusual objects, curious combinations, I was experimenting with finding new ways to look at shapes, textures and colours.
